Featured Wines: 8/7 Tasting
This week, we are sampling some bordeaux grapes that are grown around the world. We'll be trying a white Semillon from Washington and a red Cabernet from California. Both are great food wines, but I think you'll find them to be excellent sipping wines too! I can't wait to share them with you!
Virtual Tasting: Friday August 7th at 4:00pm (Mountain Time)

LeCole Semillon
Columbia Valley, Washington
Few Semillons show their richness and complexity as those produced in Washington State. The cool nights help to ensure crisp natural acidity, making this a wonderful food pairing wine.Refreshing with vibrant fruit and balanced acidity, this wine shows pretty orange blossom with layers of honeysuckle, honeydew melon, and lemongrass that persist through to a clean, succulent finish.

Big Red Monster
Paso Robles, California
A bold red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Petite Sirah. All of the fruit was gently de-stemmed and crushed before fermentation. In Paso, where the summer temperatures can reach well over 100 degrees, extreme heat forges fruity flavors with dark, bold, brooding notes of chocolate and oak. This is balanced by the freezing nights that allow the fruit to retain juicy acidity.
