Featured Wines: 7/31 Tasting

I don't know about you, but I am ready for a nice night out. But, until it's safe to do that, we are sampling some wines this week that are great for a nice night in. On our virtual tasting this week, we will be trying 3 great dinner wines from around the world to treat yourself to a wonderful evening at home with fine wine!

Virtual Tasting: Friday July 31st at 4:00pm (Mountain Time)

Featured Rep: Catherine

Special Guest: Leil Cardoza

Stratum Sauvignon Blanc

Marlborough, New Zealand

A vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, filled with tropical fruit, gooseberry and citrus flavors with just a hint of asparagus. Lively and refreshing, this is a real modern classic. A medium-bodied wine with light acidity and a fine grained texture.

Suggested Pairing: ~Tomato burrata salad

~Shrimp Scampi

Almarada Malbec

Mendoza, Argentina

A bold Argentinian Malbec, with intense fruity aromas of black plum giving rise to a palate full of freshness, velvety tannins and flavors of dried cranberry and chocolate with orange peel. Great balance and complexity.

Suggested Pairing:

~Truffle mousse pate

~Grilled lamb chops

Casa Del Bosque Pinot Noir

Casablanca, Chile

This 2017 Pinot Noir has an intense, ruby color. On the nose, strawberries and dried figs blend with notes of black tea, complemented by hints of vanilla and spice from the French oak barrels. Medium bodied, concentrated but balanced, with some tannin that will reward ageing in bottle. Finishes long and clean.

Suggested Pairing:

~Goat cheese with fig jam ~Bacon wrapped filet
