We are so excited for our tasting this Friday! We planned this tasting before Covid, and 2020 has tried to stop it with quarantines, travel bans, and then lost wine... but we are finally going to be able to share these delicious wines with you in person.

Chenin Blanc

South Africa

This Chenin Blanc is a light straw in color, with a full bodied yet elegant flavor. The acid is well integrated and balanced resulting in a palate that shows great length and fullness for an unwooded wine. Primary fruit flavours of passion fruit and ripe guavas dominate the nose and palate. The resulting wine shows a rare combination of intense aromas, complexity and length

Viognier

South Africa

The nose is typical of viognier, but in an elegant and restrained way.  The aromas are dominated by apricots and white peaches.  The wine is soft, ripe, and round with a lovely viscous texture.  The flavours linger, giving the wine a very long flavor profile.  The fruit is nuanced with a hint of cashew nuts, elegant and aromatic, this really is a red wine drinkers white.

CVC Reserve

South Africa

A blend of Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Chardonnay the CVC Reserve has a lovely pale lemon/straw color. The nose showed lifted peach and apricot characters. A lovely blend of roasted nuts with a hint of butterscotch and ripe melons. The palate is balanced to perfection with oak, fruit, and acidity all adding to the wines length and fullness.

221 Cuvee

South Africa

221 Special Cuvee is a fruit driven shiraz-based blend. A multi-layered aromatic wine, it reflects a rich, ripe fruit character of plums and red cherries with hints of spice and liquorice. The juicy red berry entry and velvety soft tannins create a beautifully balanced wine delivering an opulent mouth feel with a long red fruit finish.
