Featured Wines: 10/30 Tasting Update

You probably saw our earlier announcement that we were going to feature four wonderful South African Wines today from Alvi's Drift. Unfortunately, in the chaos of 2020, our shipment of wine was rerouted due to fires and is stuck somewhere in Nashville!

But no fear! We shall have Wine today! Below is our revised tasting. You can come try them in person, or buy them in advance to taste on Zoom.

Southern Right Sauvignon Blanc

Silk & Spice lives up to it's name and has been rated one of the top 100 wines in the world by Wine Enthusiast. The blend is Touriga Nacional, Baga, Alicante Bouchet, and Syrah. The nose carries lots of toasted spice and ripe fruit. The palate is silky smooth, with flavors of black currant, dark fruits, and spices. It enjoys a fine finish with smooth acidity.

This red blend combines Grenache, Shiraz, and Mataro for deep crimson, purple wine featuring aromas of Ripe red fruits and black cherry on the nose. Notes of mocha and subtle savory and herbs notes adding complexity to the bouquet, while bright and juicy fruits coat the palate, balanced by pepper and sweet spices. Medium-bodied in structure with great complexity and lovely silky tannins which flow through the fruity, peppery and spicy finish.
